Requirements

802.11b or 802.11g Wi-Fi Certified Wireless Network Card
Although we do not provide hardware/installation assistance, we will provide instructions on how to configure native Windows 2000/XP/Vista network settings; these settings should work for most wireless network cards. If you are purchasing a new wireless network card, we suggest the following:
a card that supports the 802.1x/WEP security standard or one that can be upgraded to support this feature.
a native 802.11b or 802.11g wireless network card

Connecting

Install your wireless network card by following the manufacturer's instructions. Use the following configuration settings to setup your wireless card for the Club wireless network. Although it is sometimes possible to leave network names blank or set to ANY to connect to any network, we highly recommend that you create a profile with the specific settings described below:

SSID : Wireless@TGC_AP1
WEP : enabled
TCP/IP : DHCP (automatic)
DNS : DHCP (automatic)

Cost

There is no charge to use the Club  wireless network. If your laptop doesn't come with a built-in wireless adapter, you will need to purchase one, which typically costs between $50 to  $80.

Acceptable Use and Misuse

As with most public wireless connections, the Club’s wireless connection is not totally  secure. Others could intercept any data received or transmitted. The Grassroots' Club recommends that users of our wireless service do not transmit personal information, including credit card numbers,  personal identification numbers (PINs), passwords or any other sensitive information while using any public wireless connection, including ours. The Club cannot be held responsible for any losses incurred if members choose to use the Club's Internet connection to conduct commercial transactions.

The password key assigned to you is confidential and you should not disclose it to third party to allow access to the wireless network.
